At MannaBay we embrace the concept of responsible tourism and believe that travel to Cape Town doesn't need to leave a dirty carbon footprint, but rather, if done correctly it can help uplift local communities in Africa.
In order to reduce the impact that our operations have on the environment, we work with Greenline and the Heritage Environmental Management Company and have received accreditation through those organisations. We are committed to the Greenline Responsible Tourism Charter, a copy of which you can find below.
We are constantly on the look-out for ways to support sustainable tourism and the environment. We strive to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible and look for business partners with that same mentality.
One such company is Bean There – a coffee company passionate about sourcing Fair Trade coffee. Bean There acquires, through direct trade, Africa’s finest single origin coffee. Direct fair trade means that producers receive a fair payment for their coffee through equal engagement, regardless of market fluctuations, which ensures community development, empowerment and sustainability.
